At the People & Predators Fund, we place an important emphasis on education and training within all of our program areas. We also value student interns as potential contributors to the overall success of our projects. Our internship program was established in 2005 and is currently expanding. As it continues to grow, we are particularly interested in linking Tanzanian and international students together for mutually beneficial learning experiences.
For Tanzanian Students
The People & Predators Fund is very interested in collaborating with qualified Tanzanian Masters and Ph.D. students within all of our program areas. We believe it is extremely important to help enhance local Tanzanian’s capacity for wildlife management and community development with on-site practical experience and guidance. Interested students should contact us for further information.
For International Students
Through our international internship program, the Fund is hosting summer internships and providing research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. This program has grown out of Dr. Lichtenfeld’s relationship with Yale University as a research affiliate at the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Therefore, given the small size of our organization, current priority is given to Yale University students. However, other students who feel they are well qualified to work with the Fund are also encouraged to submit applications.
At this time, all students should note that the Fund does not provide paid internships
or student research projects. Interested students are encouraged to apply for support through their educational institutions and/or alternative funding sources.
